Cinnamon Pot-Roasted Quinces
Soft, aromatic and sweet, these cinnamon pot-roasted quinces are delicious spooned over porridge or served with ice cream with the syrup drizzled over the top.

- 4 quinces
- 1 orange, quartered
- 2 lemons
- 1 L water
- 500 g sugar
- 2 cinnamon sticks
Preheat the oven to 160 ℃ (140 ℃ fan-forced).
Wash the quinces, then nestle them into 1.5 L capacity casserole dish.
Push the orange segments around the quinces and add the cinnamon sticks.
Add the water and the sugar and bring to the boil on the stove, stirring so that the sugar dissolves completely.
Remove from the stove and cook in the oven for 1 1/2 hours. The quinces are cooked when pierced easily with a knife.
The quinces will keep in an aright container in the fridge for up to a week.
